Many people don’t realize that the Exchange stores offer a price matching program, which also includes “warehouse club” prices. Be sure to check sales flyers to compare prices. Review the newspaper advertisements and your catalogs to stay informed about varying prices at different stores. Did you ever wonder where this tradition came from? Yellow is the official color of the cavalry branch of the U.S. Army, used in insignia, etc., and originally exemplified in Hollywood movies by the yellow neckerchiefs supposed to be worn in the 19th Century by cavalry soldiers. In the United States military, the symbol of the yellow ribbon is used in a popular marching song. The first version copyrighted was the 1917 version by George A. Norton, which he titled ‘Round Her Neck She Wears a Yeller Ribbon (For Her Lover Who Is Fur, Fur Away).
Fly Your Flag With Pride and Respect!
My heart swells at the sight of an American flag waving high. It invokes a sense of pride, gratitude, hope, and patriotism. As military wives, we are inherently patriotic. We view the red, white, and blue as the tangible cloth that binds America together. It symbolizes freedom and reminds me of the sacrifice by those who have courageously served, and those who continue to serve, to protect and preserve our civil rights.
