Hi Lacey,

Congrats on new baby coming. When are you due? I was in a similiar situation as you when my 3rd son came along. I thought we were done having babies and got rid of all my stuff. I ended up buying most the things we needed (for very little money) at garage sales. Since your husband is deployed, and you still have 2 kids at home, you may not feel up to going to yard sales.

I would recommend that you check www.craigslist.org (http://www.craigslist.org/) (a free on-line classified site). Also, try www.freecycle.org (http://www.freecycle.org/) .... a site where people give their things away.

Let me know how you make out. I can help you figure something out.

I am going to look for you, I am using one now, but I know I had another one. It might be destroyed, or my dad might have gotten rid of it, but Im going to look. In the meantime...I got all my crib matteresses from Birthright, do you have one near you? Soemthing like it? Around here, all you have to do is go talk to them, and they will give you a voucher for a crib mattress after the baby is born, you would need someone to go get it for you, but the baby could sleep in the pack and play until you got it. IDK if you have anything lik that there, but it is an awesome help! They also have maternity clothes you can go get, and baby clothes! Ill look online and see if I can find you a link! *hugs* We'll get this for you!

OK, the website is www.birthright.com (http://www.birthright.com) I dont have your zip code so I cant look for you, but go there and click on locations...there might be one near you and you can ask them if they can help you get a mattress. Plus you can get yourself some clothes to wear! If they dont do the mattress thing, Ill look for mine, and look into shipping it.

Lacey..Where do you live? I ask this because you can go on base and get help from Military Outreach Ministries aka MOMS. They can help you with baby stuff! Also if there's a local thrift shop in your area I would check there too! Try Once Upon a Child if you have one!

I am in NY and the nearest base is 2 hours away. most of the bases in NY are closed down or they are just for training. we have west point which is 3 hours that has a PX and commisary but thats it...

I just wanted to let you all know that i got the crib mattress today!! THANK YOU!!! words can not describe the joy and gratitude that i have at the moment. who ever did this for me, the baby and my family... thank you and god bless you. emotions are just running through me.
Since my husband deployed last June.. the kindness that everyone has shown the kids and i is unspeakable. i have been the one who has always given when needed and in my time of need it is amazing how many people that we know and the amount of strangers who have stepped in to help where needed. when i was helping in the flood we had a year ago.. someone once told me that all the kindness that people have hurts so bad.. i never understood, until now.. when i need the help. so, thank-you from the bottom of my heart this means so much to me, my husband, and my family... THANK YOU!!
